Franci Neely's Dream to Tour Every Country

Before Franci Neely retired, she served as a lawyer at Susman Godfrey LLP partner for almost two decades.

During her time there, she received career advice from Steve Susman, her law partner.

She recognizes Susman among her top influencers in life.

Currently, Neely serves as the leader of the Franci Neely Foundation.

She is also an active philanthropist in the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston.

Other organizations she serves include the Baker Institute for Public Policy and Moody Center for the arts.

Franci Neely’s dream is to tour every country; currently, she has visited over 180 foreign lands.

Although COVID-19 interrupted her travels, she is now back to accomplishing her goal.

She always carries her camera to capture every moment of the journey.

She plans to live in Italy after achieving her dream.

According to Neely, traveling is fun and offers the best education.

She learns about new cultures on all her trips and loves trying new fashions and regional cuisines.

Every time she visits a country, she carries unique treasures to keep as a memory.

Most importantly, she keeps in touch with all her new friends.

In 2008 she was recognized as one of Houston’s 50 most influential women.

Over the years, Neely has acquired eight godchildren and numerous friends:

she considers her family her top priority in life. She never takes experience or relationships for granted.

Her advice to young people is to travel, set realistic goals and avoid procrastination.

Franci Neely considers giving a moral obligation.

According to her, money can significantly impact the lives of other less fortunate people; she is passionate about improving the lives of others.

She is an active member of the Imprint art group, which promotes reading and encourages writing by offering community programs to different age groups.

Neely is always proud of the time she served as the president of Imprint.

The organization, founded over four decades ago, serves over 1500 patrons yearly and continues to make a positive impact in the community.

Neely’s love for art is exceptional; when she was young, she would write and perform plays for her fellow children.

She continues to support arts in Houston to give back to the community.

She is a co-founder of the Houston Cinema Arts Society.
